Workshop Origins

The Early Years

The Brunswick St Shop / Stratford Ontario

Musical Instruments, by their inherent fragility, are always susceptible to damage, from Seasonal and Atmospheric shifts or the use of excessive force when being handled; during building / maintenance / restoration and repair procedures.

These Workstations were designed for everything, from simple string changes, to the more complex challenges, such as fret dressing, complete fret replacement, levelling fingerboards, neck resets, fixing cracks and fractures, and guitar wiring.

As I prepared my curriculum for teaching, I was inspired to create a Safe / Portable / Multi-Adjustable Guitar Repair Workstation / that could be used by anyone, from beginner to Pro.

These workstations were first introduced in my Guitar Repair and Design courses at Conestoga College.

Dear Michael,

5th Generation TechDeck Workstations

Kids in a Candy Shop !

All 6 of these students purchased their TechDecks to take home with them .

This is how everything started. Eventually, without any “Marketing Campaign “ or Advertising, I started to receive inquiries from around the world. Orders trickled in, and we ramped-up gradually, to runs of 30 units at a time.
